Position: Engineer- Vendor development
Job Description: Developing plans/ schedules, for on time material availability & to support customers/ partners production schedules.
Using ERP to raise Purchase requisition (PR). Raising Purchase order and forward it to concerned department. Costing of Parts. Develop the Potential Suppliers by taking into considerations like their Turn over,
their clients before developing new suppliers. Analyzing and Maintaining reports of ROI (Return of Investment). Material planning and delivery schedule of RM & BOP based on Production plan.
Responsible for procurement of raw materials (steel, manufacturer of Tube Mill and all related equipments.etc),
child parts, packing materials, abrasives, safety items, stationary items, IT hardware and software, maintenance items all types of purchasing and day to day all procurement activities. Timely issue PO to vendors within the Lead time and with agreed terms and conditions.. Time to Time audits in our different Units (currently handling 2 units).0 Supplier visit and audits and resolving day 2 day issue (Gemba activities). Negotiate with Suppliers to final the price. Part requirement planning based upon production schedule to maintain minimum inventory level. Comprehensively follow ups with Vendors to ensure material reaches on time with zero production loss. Ensure timely availability of supplies of materials by placing order before stock out situation say at reorder level. Visit various suppliers to arrange material to support daily production activity vendors. Desire
